Phrased the way sellers ask them. Where a capability is partial, the answer says so — that honesty is the product.
Getting started
- What is AutoPPC, and what does it actually do? AutoPPC is Amazon PPC software with an account copilot, scheduled bid reviews and seller-approved bulk exports for US and Canada.
- Is AutoPPC the same as an Amazon auto campaign? No. AutoPPC is optimization software; an Amazon auto campaign is one Sponsored Products targeting type.
- What do I need to connect to get started? Connect Amazon Ads for a US or Canada profile. Product costs support margin targets; seller total sales enable true TACOS.
- What permissions does AutoPPC get on my Amazon account? Amazon OAuth connects your chosen profiles. AutoPPC reads reports and account state; you upload approved changes yourself.
- How long does setup take? Connect your profile, let the initial sync finish, then confirm targets and account context. Sync time varies by account.
- Why does it need my total sales figure? True TACOS is ad spend divided by total sales for the same market, currency and dates. Ad reports alone cannot supply it.
- Does it work for Sponsored Brands or Sponsored Display?partial AutoPPC optimizes Sponsored Products only. Available Sponsored Brands and Display spend can inform reporting, not optimization.
- Does it handle more than one marketplace? AutoPPC optimizes US and Canada Sponsored Products. Each market keeps its own currency, evidence and approved bulk files.
- What if I already use another PPC tool or an agency? Run AutoPPC read-only alongside for a few weeks and compare what it finds before switching.
- What is an Amazon Ads MCP server? An Amazon Ads MCP server exposes tools to an AI assistant. Read, write and workflow capabilities depend on the server and permissions.
- Can I automate my Amazon PPC with Claude? Yes, supported Claude and connector setups can run recurring analysis and take actions. Their tools and safeguards determine the scope.
- AI connector or PPC software — which do I actually need? Choose by the complete workflow: tools, recurring work, bid rules, approval, history and verification—not the presence of an AI chat.
Why did it recommend this?
- Why is it suggesting I negate this search term? It has enough clicks — at your own conversion rate — to make zero orders meaningful, and no variant of it converts anywhere.
- Why won't it negate this obviously terrible term? Almost always the family check — some variant of that phrase has orders somewhere in your account.
- Why did it cut the bid on a keyword that's making sales? It's converting, but above your target — the sales cost more than you said you'd pay.
- Why did it raise a bid on a keyword with a high ACOS? Usually because the bid was set too low relative to what the keyword actually earns per click.
- Why are there so many (or so few) recommendations this week? Volume follows evidence. First runs are large; steady-state weeks are small, and that's the goal.
- Why didn't it do anything about my worst campaign? Check three things: hands-off status, whether it's inside a settle window, and whether a gate held it.
- Why is it raising a budget instead of a bid? The campaign is hitting its daily cap while beating target — it's profitable and switching itself off.
- Why is this proposal marked "needs your judgment"? It's a strategic trade-off the engine won't make alone. It arrives un-ticked on purpose.
- Why did it propose a harvest and a negative for the same term? A paired source block waits for the new exact to serve and must never block its destination.
- Why are the recommendations so different between my marketplaces? Different competition, prices, conversion rates and evidence windows — they're separate markets.
- Why does one marketplace use a longer window than the other? Lower volume needs more days to reach the same confidence. Amazon caps search-term lookback near 95 days.
- What does it mean when a proposal is "held"? A gate stopped it. The row says which one and what would clear it.
Reviewing and approving
- Do I have to look at every single row? No. Most weeks are a bulk approve on the clean sections plus a look at the few flagged rows.
- What's the difference between Later and Reject? Later saves an action for later. Reject records a durable decision about that action.
- What if I disagree with a recommendation? Reject it. That decision is durable, and your decisions always outrank the engine.
- Can I change a proposal before approving it? Some parts — match type and harvest destination. Not the calculated values.
- How long should a weekly review take? A few minutes once you have a rhythm. The first one takes longer because it clears a backlog.
- What happens if I skip a week? Nothing breaks. Proposals recompute on fresh evidence next run rather than piling up stale.
Getting changes onto Amazon
- How do I actually get approved changes onto Amazon? Download the bulk files and upload them in Seller Central. Nothing downloads automatically.
- How do I upload a bulk file to Amazon? Open Bulk operations in the Amazon Ads console, upload the reviewed file, and inspect Amazon’s processing report for errors.
- What if some rows fail to upload? AutoPPC catches it on the next pull and returns those rows to your queue rather than counting them applied.
- Can AutoPPC apply changes to Amazon directly?partial No. Direct Amazon API apply is unavailable in the beta. Approved changes are delivered as bulk files you upload.
- How do I undo a change? Use the matching reverse file for supported prior settings, after checking for later account changes.
- What if I make changes in Seller Central myself? Fine. AutoPPC detects them on the next pull, records them, and works from actual live state.
Did it work?
- How do I know if this is actually working? Track settled efficiency and business results, then check whether approved changes landed and how they were evaluated.
- I lowered bids and my ACOS went UP. What happened? Check revenue per click, attribution maturity and changes in traffic mix. A lower bid does not guarantee lower ACOS.
- How long before I see results? Delivery can change quickly; evaluation needs mature attribution and comparable data. There is no fixed results deadline.
- What does "verified" mean on a change? The next data pull confirmed the change actually exists on Amazon. Not that it worked.
- What does "kept" mean? Five days after landing, with attribution settled, the change looked right and stayed.
- Why was one of my changes reverted? At day five it was doing more harm than good. A reverted change is the system working, not failing.
- How much am I actually saving? Impact shows verified, still-live changes only. The queue's estimate is a forecast, not a result.
Settings and strategy
- What target ACOS should I set? Start below break-even if you're optimising for profit; at or above it if you're buying rank.
- Which intensity should I choose? Balanced unless you have a specific reason. It's the default for good reasons.
- Do I need campaign groups? If your products have meaningfully different margins, yes. Otherwise the account default is fine.
- Should I change settings between runs? Change them deliberately and infrequently. Constant tuning makes results unattributable.
- How do I stop AutoPPC touching a specific campaign? Mark it hands-off. It will be monitored and reported on, but never proposed against.
- Do I need to enter my product costs?partial Usable product economics support margin-derived targets. Inventory evidence is a separate requirement for stock-dependent decisions.
- How often does it run, and can I run it on demand? Scheduled optimization reviews are separate from nightly refreshes and provisional hourly metrics.
- How do I stop it proposing something ever again? Reject the row. That's scoped to the item, type and direction, and persists.
Safety and control
- Can AutoPPC change my account without me approving? Advertising changes require Review approval and your manual upload. Supported AutoPPC settings changes require confirmation.
- What can't AutoPPC do, even if I ask it to? A fixed list of invariants — enforced in the engine, not switchable in settings.
- What if AutoPPC makes a mistake? Upload the reverse file. Every change ships with its undo, generated before the change.
- Can the AI assistant change my bids? The copilot can explain and draft supported changes. Saved rules compute bids; you approve and manually upload advertising files.
- What happens if AutoPPC goes down? Existing Amazon campaigns keep running at their current settings. AutoPPC analysis, alerts and fresh exports may be delayed.
Account, data and billing
- Is my account data safe? Isolated per customer, encrypted credentials, private storage. Amazon access is revocable by you at any time.
- What does it cost? Flat plan pricing with stated spend and marketplace allowances, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Can I export my data? Yes. Change history, impact summaries and every run's files are exportable at any time.
- What happens if I cancel? Your Amazon account keeps running exactly as it is. Nothing is rolled back or switched off.
